Congratulations to our three teams in the Cyber Security Challenge Australia 2013 that took out 1st, 2nd and 3rd today!

43 teams competed over 24 hours from 12 noon Tuesday until 12 noon today.

The challenge is co-ordinated by the Australian Government, sponsored by Telstra and conducted with the assistance of Australian universities.  Not only does the challenge tests each teams technical skills in finding and exploiting vulnerabilities, it also test their ability to devise remediation procedures and process for monitoring and/or detecting future exploitation.

This is the second year of the competition, and the second time UNSW has won it!

Free ride: students crack ticket algorithm
