Project Description:

AU2EU is an EU-funded collaborative research and development project. It is found under FP7 (Seventh Framework Programme) and it has a total budget of 8,696,539 (€). The project has started 12.2013 and will be running for 24 months.

The project brings together a strong collaboration of leading industry and research organisations from Europe and Australia, determined to increase trust, security and privacy. AU2EU has brought together 7 leading organisations from 5 European countries, as well as 5 first class research institutions from Australia. Current organizations involved include IBM Research GMBH, NEC Europe LTD, BICORE Services B.V., German Red Cross E.V., Philips Electronics the Netherlands B.V., Eindhoven University of Technology, CSIRO, RMIT and Macquarie University.

The aim of the AU2EU project is to implement and demonstrate in a real-life environment an integrated eAuthentication and eAuthorisation framework to enable trusted collaborations and delivery of services across different organisational/governmental jurisdictions. Consequently, the project aims at fostering the adoption of security and privacy-by-design technologies in European and global markets.
